Friday Night Leftovers (The Changes Edition)

It's been awhile. I figured since I need to catch up, that FNL was a great time to do that! So without further ado...

• This post is aptly titled. Many, many things have been going on and changing around here. They are also the many reasons I haven't posted in awhile. Once things get settled down a bit more, I'm going to try to post more regularly (don't you wish you had a dollar for every time I've said that?).

• We have a new addition! Four year old, Sadie, joined our family a couple weeks ago. She is a lab mix (probably) and is so well behaved. She is great with the kids! She is a sweet girl, who loves to cuddle and be by my side. Plus...she is housebroken! (I may never get a puppy again) We got her from a girl I went to high school with. Due to unfortunate circumstances, they needed to find her a new home (they had to move and couldn't have pets at their new place).

• I have been continuing crafting...and sewing! Yup! I have taught myself how to sew. I am working on hooded towels, robes, and blankets right now. I plan to open up an Etsy shop in the near future. So stay tuned!

• I finally got in to a pain management doctor (due to all the problems I've had since the car accident a year ago). He did a sacroiliac injection two weeks ago, in hopes it would relieve my pain. Well, it only helped a tiny bit (and made other pains apparent or worse), so I'm going for an MRI next week. I'm sort of hoping they find something because, otherwise, there isn't much that can be done, and this will probably be a chronic problem (insert sad face).

• We are buying a house! Yes, we will own our own home! And I do mean that we will own it. No mortgage! We are paying cash for it. It is a bit of a fixer-upper, but has lots of potential. We sort of stumbled upon it. We weren't planning on moving for at least another year or two, but after paying the rent last week we decided to move. Totally off track, but I feel like I should explain. When we first rented this place, it was a total dive. It took a whole month to get it acceptable to move in. Plus we've done numerous things since. We have always ran it by the acting landlord, who runs it by the owner (she is out of town and supposed to be incapacitated in some manner). Anyway, Sean rebuilt and put a new roof on the outbuilding. It was leaking horrible and rotting. The acting landlord approved it beforehand. Well, due to materials and labor, we ended up not paying rent for two plus months (anything we do they credit it to our rent). Apparently, the acting landlord never approved it with the owner first. So she was upset. So when we went to pay rent last week, the acting landlord had a list of "grievances" from the owner against us. Turns out, this supposedly incapacitated hag woman has a malicious side, and also too much time and not as incapacitated as it seems. To be honest, nothing on that list was a "legitimate" concern pertaining to renting. She was pissed that the flag blew off it's anchor and was lying on the ground (forgive me-I don't control the weather! We picked it up as soon as we saw it). She was angry about "trash being all over the yard"--umm, first it wasn't every where. Second, her neighbor's dog came over, knocked over the trash can, and tore into it. Sean picked it all up as soon as he saw it. She made it seem like we were in the process of condemning her house! So I went out and started looking for places. I can't wait to tell her to kiss my @$$. Bahaha! Try to find renters that are anywhere close to how good we have been!

• We probably won't get all of the paperwork and money stuff done on the house for a few more weeks. The house is about 15 minutes west from where we are. In a small itsy-bitsy, teeny tiny town that supposedly has 758 people. I'd be surprised if there were more than 200! The good news...We can get Internet! Yes!!! I will be able to get online on my computer! I will have no more excuses for being behind on posting pictures, etc. WOOT WOOT!

• I am no longer a blonde. Having been blonde my whole life (and never dying it until after Alice was born--roots got darker!), I have always contemplated going darker. Well, I finally did it...I'm a brunette! Not sure how I like it yet.

• Of course, it would be cruel to just say that without posting a picture, so here you go...

I'm sure there are a lot more changes, but those are the big ones. Other than the natives, but I owe them their own posts! For more leftovers, please go check out Danifred!

Friday Night Leftovers (Take Two)

I'm really irritated. I was almost done with my leftovers when Blogger had to refresh, and I lost them. ARGH! I'll probably forget half of what I wrote the first time, but here we go...

•Happy Earth Day, on this Good Friday. Not only did Jesus die for our carbon transgressions, but also for all of our sins.

•As I was playing with HJ and watching him smile at me, I thought how happy I am that I'm not God because if I had to give up my son to save all of mankind, you'd all die and go to hell.

•I am incredibly exhausted. I have gotten three to four hours of sleep each of the past few nights. Consequently, I have been nodding off nursing and anytime I'm sitting.

•Want to know how exhausted I am? I changed HJ's diaper the other day. I then put him down, threw the diaper away, grabbed him and changed his diaper. A little bit later, I was wondering how Alice's diaper could be leaking?! Gee, I wonder!

•Do you know that breast pads don't work when you put the absorbent side away from you? Twice I have done that this week, and woken up soaking wet and in a puddle of breast milk.

•My mom made a comment the other day (in reference to having my hands full) that if I had a third I'd just be depressed. Umm, no. I might go crazy from the chaos, but I wouldn't be depressed. That explains why she was a crappy mother...at least until she just quit parenting.

•When I told Sean about what my mom said, he agreed that that explains everything. Then he went on to say that anyone who has more than two kids is selfish. We should just repopulate ourselves. WTH?! I think this comes from his parents (he and his sisters spent the majority of their youth with other relatives and apart from each other) and their lack of involvement, love, etc.

•HJ is now rolling both ways from tummy to back, and can use his forearms to lift himself up. He's grounded! Growing up too fast is now a mandatory grounding!

•We are forecasted for thunderstorms for the next week. Why don't you just pee in my Wheaties too, Mother Nature?

•Thank you for all of your suggestions yesterday! I will be trying them out and seeing what works. I'll update soon :-)

•I realize a lot of you really don't know a lot about me. I know I'm usually talking about the kids (they're mine and I like talking about them), but there is more to me than mom-dom. Is there anything you'd like to know?

Friday Night Leftovers (The What A Week Version)

•This has been some week!
•I'm going to backdate this because it is midnight and I'm just getting around to this.
•I FINALLY got a shower just a bit ago! I hadn't showered since Tuesday, when the in-laws showed up. Gross. I know. I'm sure you know this but it is amazing how great you feel after a shower!
•One of my friends told me the not showering thing is okay because "once you have two or more kids/babies showering becomes optional." Not sure I agree, but it made me feel better at the time.
•I went to the store around 10:30, and when I got home I hit Alice with the door. Seems someone snuck out of bed and fell asleep by the door waiting for me. Poor thing!
•Sean took his CDL test again today. He texted me when he got done and said he failed. Followed by "April Fools!" I wanted to slap him!
•Alice can do somersaults now! I got a short video of her, but have to upload it from my phone.
•I'm hoping Sean can get the engine installed by Sunday.
•I had more to say, but I'm getting tired and I want to check out your blogs before HJ and I go to sleep.

For more leftovers, please visit Danifred.

Friday Night Leftovers

•I bought a couple of maternity/nursing tops from Baby Steals the other day. I love them! The problem, one has a waistband that I can't get over my shoulders/chest. So what a waste! I can't return or exchange it, either. I'm going to see if I can cut the band or something.
•I bought these anti-stress/calming collars for the cats awhile back. I was planning on putting them on when the baby got here, but Sean put them on this morning because they have been CRAZY! Gretchen got hers half off and stuck around her mouth, and ended up cutting herself. Blood was everywhere! Mortimer started to do the same thing shortly afterwards. My point is: don't buy anything like that. It is a waste of money and will make a bloody mess!
•I stopped by the grocery store today after PT. There is a lady there who is so sweet, and today she asked if she could rub my belly. I obliged. When I finished waddling around the store, I got in a long line, as the others were closed. She waved me over and opened up a lane just for me! And then insisted upon emptying my cart onto the belt AND having someone push the cart out to the car and loading the groceries! Seriously what an angel!
•Have you ever not gone to a restaurant/fast food/other place of business just because they have words spelled wrong on a sign? I didn't think I would, but I refuse to go to the Burger King in our town because they repeatedly spell breakfast as breakfest! Do I get a party with my biscuit?
•I had to take a nap when I got home from the store/PT. I figured I had about an hour before Sean left for work. Well he let me sleep almost two hours before he rudely woke me up saying he was going to be late, blah, blah, blah. Umm, why did you let me sleep that long then? I told him to wake me up!
•And speaking of naps, my schedule is so messed up. I can't get to sleep until about 2am, and am up every 2-3 hours to use the bathroom. So it is no wonder that I need a nap! I just wish I could go to bed at a more reasonable time!
•Did you hear that breast pumps and supplies are now tax deductible? Here
•I'm almost done with the Twilight series (again). I ordered the Left Behind series, so hopefully that gets here soon. I'll go nuts if I have to go too long without a book!
•To answer Carrie's question from last week; Sean will only be working 12 hour shifts and will be home every night (or day). He just won't have his own set route for awhile, and can get called into work 8 hours after leaving. So that will be a bit of a challenge. He will get his vacation before training, which starts March 14, but the HR lady told him they could postpone that a week or two, as that is my first due date. If he can't for some reason, then he could take two or three days off for the birth and then go back without getting into trouble (but not during training).

Friday Night Leftovers

Woo hoo! I have the banner this week.

•I'm back to two PT sessions a week. I'm already burnt out on it, and it is only the first week. Throw in prenatal appointments every other week (soon every week) and things are going to start getting a little crazy.

•Alice bit the top of her straw off on her sippy cup. Now it leaks constantly. She has others, and this will be thrown away, but not before it soaked our bed. Plus I spilled a whole bottle of water in the bed too. Good grief!

• I have been having cramps real low. That doesn't concern me, as I've had them off and on for a month or so. What concerns me is the lower back pain. I'm keeping an eye on it, and if it gets worse I'll call the dr. It is just too early for this little man to come.

•I think I have finally decided on a car seat and stroller. I love the Montreal pattern from Graco, but it is hard to find. So I think I may settle on the Graco Quattro Tour Duo and snugride 35 in Clairmont. Feel free to look it up if you want.

•I really need to cook an actual dinner sometime. We have been doing salads, and easy frozen stuff. I just haven't felt like standing and cooking lately.

•Speaking of which, I am feeling better. Still really tired, but I don't imagine that will be remedied any time soon. I'll probably complain about how exhausted I am for months.

•I made some awesome pumpkin bread with chocolate chips yesterday. I altered the recipe I found online a bit. I'll be posting it in the next few days, so check back if you are interested.

•And you may have noticed that I've changed my layout and added a few pages. I'm still working on everything, but I'm slowly getting this blog to how I want it to be!

For more leftovers, go see Danifred. And make sure to check out all the other participants!

Friday Night Leftovers

I don't have much of a brain right now, so I'll make this intro brief. Welcome to the Labor Day edition of Friday Night Leftovers!

  • I am officially a SAHM! Wednesday was my last day of work. Yippee! To be honest, I thought I would be more excited and relieved.
  • Lindsay leaves tomorrow morning. In 12 hours (or less by the time I post this), actually. Boo! I have been trying to conspire ways to keep her here. Any ideas? And quick!
  • It is weird. Lindsay is still here, but I am already starting to miss her. I hate the inevitable "bye for now". I wish she would move closer to home. I would move closer to her, but I have a husband and baby who don't want to move out to the Boston area.
  • This weekend we will be tackling the house. Oh, and going up to Northern Indiana to see Sean's parents.
  • I made a pierogi casserole the other night. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I love pierogis, but I would never make them from scratch. For those of you that do not know what pierogis are, they are like mashed potato (and sometimes cheese or onion) filled raviolis. I will be posting a recipe in the near future.
  • I am really relieved that Sprout was doing well. I guess I was a little paranoid that something would be wrong. Granted, we still have quite aways to go , but as each day goes by, and Sprout is growing big and strong, is a relief!
  • I have been having some severe ligament/pubic bone pain. This started yesterday evening. I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with Alice jumping on my belly. I don't have PT until Wednesday, so I'm just trying to ice. When it gets really bad, I can barely walk or move.
  • How am I supposed to take care of Alice when I can barely walk sometimes? Not to mention my back killing me.
  • Speaking of Alice, we went to the pediatrician yesterday because it seemed like someone may have had an ear infection. Nope. Just some ear wax. So I paid a co-pay to get wax out of her ears. Oh, and she weighs 21lbs 12 oz. No wonder I am having a hard time carrying her.
  • So after this weekend, I'm going to be transitioning to a SAHM. I will be coming up with a schedule in the upcoming days, and I will be sticking to it. I may even post it here, so you can yell at me if I don't stick to schedule.
  • I hate a schedule, but I'm a better person when I'm on a schedule.
  • Speaking of schedule, I will be transitioning Alice to more "normal" sleep hours. She gets up between 9:30-10am usually, and goes to bed around midnight. She takes one or two naps a day. Though, she has started this new "won't sleep unless I'm right next to her" thing... so we'll be changing that as well. Any ideas for getting her on+ a normal schedule?
  • I also need to contact the SUB plan people about getting paid. And go to the unemployment office, but I have to wait until I get my final paycheck in a about two weeks.

I hope everyone has a lovely Labor Day weekend. We will be cleaning and doing a lot of housework, but we will also be spending time with family. For more Friday Night Leftovers, stop by and see Danifred.

Friday Night Leftovers

I missed last week's Friday Night Leftovers. I was truely intending on doing a post, but I was so incredibly tired from the Children's Museum and I still had to bake for her "party" the next day. Anyway, here we go...

  • Today was my last Friday at work. It was also my last regular, full day. The next few days, I will be going in later and we will only be doing the encoding of the work. We do not have to run, process, balance, or do corrections on the work...which is pretty much what I do. So I will be stuck keying, but I'm okay with this.
  • I have found that Alice will drink milk from a sippy cup if it has chocolate. She still isn't nuts about whole milk and will only drink a few sips, but she will drink 2%. So do I just give her 2%?
  • I started physical therapy Tuesday for my sciatica and lower back pain. I go twice a week. Turns out I have sciatica, problems with both SI joints, and who knows what else. I have no idea how long I will be going to PT.
  • Today, my PT appt was at 2pm. I got there at 1:50. Do you know what time a 2 o'clock appointment begins? If you guessed 2:30 or 2:35, you are correct! I left there at 3:18. I was supposed to be at work at 3. I got there about 3:40.
  • Sean surprised me with a vehicle last night. He got a great deal on it. $1500 for a Buick Regal (I don't know what year). I want a mini-van. This car is a granny mobile (no offense anyone). We plan on keeping it for about 6 months, at which point we will hopefully be getting me a mini-van. We will either sell the granny car for at least $1000 more than we bought it for (it is actually work 2500-3000 but I guess the guy needed cash right then), or Sean can keep it and it can become a pappy mobile. It really is a nice car. I'm not opposed to it; I just want a mini-van. I have yet to check out the trunk space in this car, or drive the thing.
  • I don't think I have to work Thursday. We technically won't have anything to do. We were just going to come in and do a dinner, but my manager wants to do the dinner Wednesday. Now he is trying to convince the powers that be, that we do not need to come in Thursday. I mean for what? To sit around indian style on the floor for hours? There won't be any furniture there by the time we get there.
  • Since I will be transitioning to a SAHM next week, I need advice. Any tips or anything you can offer will be great. In particular, I will be needing suggestions on schedules (cleaning, etc.), and activities with Alice. Also, how do you SAHM's manage to get stuff done at home when your kids are there? If my weekend cleaning routine is indicative of how things will go when I'm home, I'm thinking my house may never be organized or really clean.
  • I have my NT scan on Tuesday. They think I will be over 12 weeks. I will be right around 11 (and I'm right!), so I'm wondering what this will do to the results of the test, since it is supposed to be done between 11w6d and 13w. Who knows... maybe Sprout will be measuring ahead again. I'm just excited to see him/her again! And my sister will be going with me. Yay!

Go check out Danifred for more Friday Night Leftovers!

Friday Night Leftovers... The Scrambled Edition

I have been a bad blogger lately. I haven't been posting as often, or commenting on your blogs. Though, I have been reading what I can on my phone.

  • We met with the attorney on Wednesday evening. We have not signed with him, but I am almost positive that we will. After talking to him, I have even more fears about Sprout. Hopefully they will all be unfounded.
  • Alice is a talking machine. She will point as something and ask, "Waz diss?" And we will point to it and say the name. For instance, she pointed at my cookie and asked what it was. I pointed to the cookie and said cookie. Alice responded with "oookie?"
  • My sister and Alice seem to be having a blast with each other! The plus to this for you, my lovely bloggy friends, is that Lindsay has been taking beaucoup photos of Alice so I will be posting some from time to time.
  • Alice REFUSES to call me Mama, Mommy, or anything close to that. She does call me "Sawah". I'm not too thrilled about that. So for future reference, if you should be with me and Alice is around, you can all call me Mama.
  • I started back to work yesterday. It was a bit rough. Today is even more so. I find myself in quite a lot of pain by 5pm usually. This is due to a few things... not taking pain meds during the day (because why would I want to drive all loopy-loo with my daughter in the car), and from sitting/standing all day. If only I could lay down for awhile at work everyday, I think that would help.
  • The insurance company totaled out the car; which I knew they would. We got $2100 for it... quite a bit more than we were expecting, so Sean and I are pleased. Now we get to start looking for mini-vans. We were going to get one sometime after the first of the year, but that is getting pushed forward.
  • Remember when I told you we had a cherry tree (here if you forget). Well that weekend, I went out to pick them and they were all gone. I guess the birds and squirrels had a big feast that evening because they knew I was coming to get them. Oh, and I just remembered to tell you about this!
  • I went to Panera Bread for lunch today. I ordered my usual (You-Pick-Two: chicken salad sandwich and french onion soup... in case any of you come to surprise me and want to bring me something *wink wink*). They put a pickle spear in with my sandwich! They never do that unless you get a whole sandwich! Woo hoo! Lucky day!
  • Today is Friday the 13th. I'm thinking it is my lucky day!
  • I really, really, REALLY need to do dishes this weekend. We seriously have no clean forks, plates, pots, pans, etc. So you can pretty much assume that I have, indeed, been resting myself.
  • I'm so over talking to insurance agents about this accident. Oh, and the adjusters, claims people, and rental car people. Don't they know that I don't feel well and need to rest? From here on out, all calls will be sent directly to voicemail; do not pass go, do not collect $200.
  • I just took a pain pill. I don't think I can go another 3 (possibly more) hours before I get off work.
  • I turned in my release for my severance. After going back and forth about it, I decided to take the 100%. Sean and I almost decided to take the lump sum (you know, to help purchase a vehicle, etc.), but then I decided I felt silly for pretty much throwing away $8K or so. So I will have to call (or go online) to unemployment and the company doing the SUB plan for the bank EVERY week. Ugh! But it will be worth it because I'm getting more money.
  • 3 weeks and 6 days to go until my last day! Which works out to 14 work days! Actually 13 for me because I have Alice's birthday off... and that is a very important day! I think it should be a holiday.
  • Speaking of birthdays, I need to hop over to Jen's shop and order some things asap!
  • Oh, and I want to put up pictures of Sean, Alice, and I either on the sides or on my header. Can anyone help me with this?

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Go check out Danifred's blog for other Leftovers... she didn't have Leftovers up last time I checked, but I'm sure she will soon!

Friday Night Leftovers... The Irr...Rational Edition

I've decided to join the world of Friday Night Leftovers this week, seeing as how it has been a few since I have blogged.

  • I figured out how to do a bullet! Thanks, Jen!
  • It has been a rough week. I'm exhausted from driving. And wouldn't you know it, the ride home is SOOOO long that Alice takes a very good nap. Not necessarily, a bad thing. Except this "nap" is at 10pm and lasts at least an hour... so someone doesn't want to go to bed. The other night she was up until 3am. Well, I honestly don't know when she fell asleep. I finally just put her in her crib, and let her cry. I HAD to sleep.
  • I have found a solution to my driving situation. Ready? I had talked to my sister, who is still looking for a job, and jokingly said I should fly her home for a month and just pay her. Well, I slept on that, and woke up and decided I was serious. She could come home. I would pay her what I pay the babysitter, and I would drive at LEAST 2 hours less a day... probably more like 2 1/2 or so. So I proposed the offer to her. I'd buy her a round-trip ticket. She'd "work" for me, for a month, and she could see all of her family and new niece too!
  • Of course, she accepted (after thinking about it for a day) and we went online to buy the ticket through Priceline. We ended up getting her ticket on Expedia (I think- I just gave her the info, she booked it). Why not Priceline? Well, each time that she clicked to purchase the ticket, it told her to wait 15-20 minutes... and then it would come back and jack the price up $10. So after two times of it doing that, I told her to look elsewhere b/c by the time Priceline got done playing games her $350 ticket would be $500+. I should also note, that Priceline is supposed to be the Negotiator, right? Well, if they were real negotiators and pulled that bunk, the hostages would have all been killed (I put this as my FB status yesterday and a TON of people were cracking up).
  • So I just have to get through next Tuesday, and then Aunt Lindsay will be keeping Alice company during the day!
  • I have 24 days left of work!
  • I have 9 days until my first OB appt (8/9) for those keeping track ;) I'm going to see if I can bring my sister along to see the u/s (which means Alice would come too).
  • To address how I have been feeling, I have been feeling really great for the most part. There have been a few bouts of nausea (usually brought on by low blood sugar/hunger), and a bit of hormones flaring (i.e. Monday). Really, other than the fatigue, I wouldn't suspect I was pregnant. Which I hope all is okay with my little sprout.
  • Oh, and I'm looking poochy. I am thinking about starting belly pics soon (anyone want to see them?), but want to wait until at least after my first appt so as not to jinx anything.
  • And I don't know if I mentioned it, but my crazy supervisor has been "trying" to get pregnant FOREVER (according to her). She has lied to doctors about charting, and to make a long story short, she has been on Clomid for several months (I'll guess 4-5). Though for someone who is "trying" so bad, would you be forgetting to take your Clomid, eating fast food, drinking ONLY Pepsi, and eating a lot of candy bars? If I were her, I'd be eating much healthier and trying to lose some weight. Anyway, she has dreams whenever someone is pregnant (that she knows ~ and I suspect that she is jealous of them in some way b/c other people have been pregnant that she knows, but she didn't have dreams about them. And I know she didn't envy anything about them or their lives), and she had a dream last week. She is going NUTS trying to figure out who it is, but she hasn't asked me. I don't suspect she will (at least for awhile anyway) because she is so dense that she doesn't think it is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding (she keeps asking when I'm going to wean Alice and when we are going to start trying for another). Obviously, it is ;)

Well, I think I've bored you all sufficiently. I had a lot more stuff to write, but I'm short on time and my mind is spacing out. Have a great weekend, every one! And go join Danifred for more leftovers!

Friday Night Leftovers

I was going to write a regular post, but I remembered it is Friday. Don't you love short weeks? So we will be joining Danifred again for Friday Night Leftovers.

*I have no idea how to do a bullet point on my blog. Can anyone help me out?

* I went for a beta and progesterone check yesterday. They called with the results today...I think I am 11 dpo today (so this was 10 dpo). My hcg was 60 point something, and my progesterone was 12.1. They are putting me on prometrium, since they like to see at least 15-20. I'm not too surprised, as I had to do this with Alice. Though they gave me the suppositories then. What a mess!

* If I had to guess my due date, I would say March 20th. I won't know until I get an u/s at 9 weeks. Though I will be like 7-8 really. I guess that is the nice thing about ovulating later than the "normal" day 14.

* I told Sean. He didn't strangle me. In fact, he was (to my surprise) excited. He thinks I'm going to have twin boys. I can pretty much say that I am not having twins. My progesterone is too low.

* Also, my supply is decreasing dramatically. I was hoping to nurse Alice until she self-weaned, but that may be a lot sooner than I was planning. Any ideas on how to increase my supply? Or at least not have it decrease anymore? This is what bothers me the most. I feel very guilty about it. It upsets me a lot. I don't want to have to supplement.

*Oh, and I checked the Chinese gender charts (it was right with Alice). It says boy.

* I found my camera. Want to know where it was? Under the passenger seat in the car! I have NO idea how it got there.

* I will be an aunt very soon. In fact, I may be one right now and just not know it yet. They were admitted this morning, and she was 4 cm dilated about noon when I talked to my brother; they were waiting on her epidural (which I told her she would end up getting even though she "wanted to TRY to have a natural birth" - try being the key word). I guess they went last night, but got sent home because she was only 1cm.

* I went and got Panera Bread for lunch today. There were no band-aids in with my food. YAY!

* I discovered we have a cherry tree. I'm not sure what kind of cherries they are, but they are a tart/sweet combo. Not really tart, but not really sweet like maraschino. I need some ideas of what to do with these. You know, before the birds eat all of them. I'm thinking preserves and maybe a pie or cobbler (you can add enough sugar to make them a bit sweeter).

* We were going to get a puppy after I got my severance, but that is on hold for another year or two. Which I still need to do a post about and ask your opinions on.

*And I still need to do Alice's 10 month post. Argh! I'm a bad mommy!

Well, I hope I have bored you all sufficiently ;)

Go visit Danifred and check out more Friday Night Leftovers!

Friday Night Leftovers

I have decided to join Danifred in Friday Night Leftovers. Which could not come at a better time because I have a lot of little thoughts that do not deserve individual posts.

* Yesterday, I received my severance package. My last day will be Thursday, September 2. Woot Woot! I cannot wait!

* I cannot stop eating today. I haven't been eating breakfast the past week or so (I know, I know... it is the most important meal of the day), but I did this morning. And now I just want to eat, and eat, and eat. I know I'm jump-starting my metabolism, but seriously I may have to rethink this whole eating breakfast thing.

* I'm looking forward to this weekend. Nothing big planned, but it is Alice's first Fourth of July so I'm hoping to set off some fireworks (plus no work on Monday!).

* I haven't worked out in two weeks. I'm bad. I will get back on the ball by Wednesday, at the latest.

* The kittens can go to good homes any time now. I had two of them "taken", but I think only one is "taken" now. Looks like we may end up with the rest.

* Which means we can't get a puppy. Have you ever fed 4 cats? Expensive.

* I have found the outfit, on Etsy, that I want for Alice's birthday. When do you think I need to order it by to get it by the middle of August? Like, yesterday?

* I need to think of a money-making idea for when I'm laid off at staying home with Alice. Sean thinks I need to contribute $800-$1,000. Any ideas? I'm thinking learn to make tutus and headbands and sell them on Etsy. Would any of you buy tutus or headbands for your girls?

* I tried that Double-Down Sandwich at KFC. You know, the one that has no bread and like 500 different kinds of meat. I liked it. I'm sure I will be having a heart attack soon.

* I will "officially" be an aunt any day now. I have 1 nephew (technically step), and 8 nieces (4 "step"), but they are on Sean's side of the family. Granted, she isn't due until the 10th, but that is a week away. And we know how babies are. She'll probably show up July 15th. That is my guess.

* I still need to post Alice's 10 Month post. I have started it. I just need to insert pictures.

* I hope everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day weekend!

So go visit Danifred for more Friday Night Leftovers!
